Second consecutive win for Pepe López in Pozoblanco

The Cordovan sections have brought luck to Pepe López. The driver from Madrid won the previous round of the Spanish Championship, the Sierra Morena Rally, and has now completed his second consecutive victory in Pozoblanco. Two victories that place him at the head of the National after three disputed tests.

The heat and the dust have conditioned the appointment of Cordovan earth, that in the first compasses experienced problems with the dust in suspension, and in the afternoon with the one that was accumulated on the surface of the sections. Nothing to stop López, who took the lead in the first section and did not drop from first place until the finish line, also scoring the extra points of the TC Plus. At the finish line he proudly displayed the Real Madrid shield on his helmet.

Cohete’ Suárez stalked him at all times, but lost 20 seconds due to an error and then he preferred not to risk a very valuable second place after the difficult start to the season he has had. The third step of the podium went to the young Alejandro Cachón, who continues to show great consistency in his debut in the top category. The leader of the championship until this test, Iván Ares, suffered a road trip that forced him to retire. He also left the winner of the first round of the year in Lorca, Efrén Llarena, due to problems with the fuel pump.
