Search engine Google in trouble, court rules

A Russian court has fined search engine Google ً 90,000 for not deleting illegal content.

According to Reuters news agency, a local court in Moscow on Wednesday fined Google about ً 90,000 (Pakistani rupees 1.5 million) for not deleting content that was declared illegal by Russia.

Google has not yet commented on the fine.

It is to be noted that Russia had earlier threatened to ban YouTube if it deleted Russian German language channels.

Earlier this month, a Moscow court imposed five fines of 21 million rubles (88 288,000) on Facebook for not deleting prohibited content, while the same court also imposed a fine of 5 million rubles on Twitter. Was imposed
