Sciacqua left Sarmiento and added to the dreaded list

The labor continuity of Argentine technicians remains in constant danger. This time the victim on duty was Mario Sciacqua, who this Monday stopped being Sarmiento’s coach, in agreement with the leadership of the Junín institution, after Sunday’s 3-1 defeat against Central Córdoba for the twentieth day of the Professional Football League. With the departure of Sciacqua, there are already 15 coaches who left their position in the 20 dates that have been disputed at the tournament.

Sciacqua, 51, had a contract until the end of this season, But due to the poor results of “Verde” he made the decision to step aside together with the managers. The former technician of Colón de Santa Fe and Quilmes, among other clubs, had taken over the team in January of this year, replacing outgoing DT Iván Delfino.

Sarmiento, with Sciacqua on the substitute bench, achieved 23 points in the present tournament, thanks to six wins, five draws and nine falls, and is in eighteenth place.

As much as there are no relegations in the current edition of the tournament, the pressure on the coaches does not seem to have changed. It even gives the feeling of increasing, since the average number of technicians who leave their position is above the historical level, which is one DT every two dates.

In the current Professional League and with Sciacqua’s departure confirmed, There are already 15 technicians who lost their jobs with only 20 disputed dates. The list includes Miguel Russo (Boca), Juan Antonio Pizzi and Claudio Ubeda (Racing), the Mariano Messera-Leandro Martini (Gymnastics) duo, Gustavo Coleoni (Central Córdoba), Juan Manuel Azconzábal (Unión), Leonardo Madelón (Platense) , Fernando Gamboa (Newell’s), Omar De Felippe (Atlético Tucumán), Fernando Gago (Aldosivi), Sergio Rondina (Arsenal), Sebastián Méndez (Godoy Cruz), Javier Sanguinetti (Banfield) and Paolo Montero (San Lorenzo).
