Tamil Nadu: In India, incidents of violence against delivery boys have become commonplace.
A similar incident took place in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu where a delivery boy was brutally tortured for no reason, the video of which is going viral on social media.
In a shocking incident in Tamil Nadu’s Vellore, a delivery agent was brutally assaulted by two accused.
The said delivery agent, identified as 22-year-old Thiru Malai Vasan, was returning to his shop after placing an order last night.
Two intoxicated motorcyclists standing on the road stopped him and started asking him various questions, during which they started beating the boy badly until he fell unconscious on the ground.
The incident was recorded by a local person passing by on his mobile phone. In the video, a food delivery boy can be seen lying on the road.
A man picked him up and laid him on the side of the road, who was later taken to a hospital for medical attention, where his condition is said to be critical.
The local police took immediate action and registered a case against the accused Parthiban and Tanikachalam and arrested an accused. The parents of the injured boy have demanded strict action against the accused.
