Savkov’s loan to Fuenlabrada ends

Baskonia has issued a note commenting on Savkov’s return to Vitoria. “Aagreement between Zurbano’s entity and the Madrid club to finalize the transfer of the Barça youth squad. Saski Baskonia and Baloncesto Fuenlabrada have reached an agreement to put an end to the loan agreement they had with the player Pavel Savkov. The Baskonia youth squad returns to Vitoria-Gasteiz where he already works within the structure of the Gasteiz club”, reads the note.

Savkov was on loan last year at Iraurgi in Leb-Oro along with Hanzlik, currently on loan at Girona by Marc Gasol. They are players who could not find a place in Joan Peñarroya’s team and who have not taken root in their new destinations either. Savkov has already packed his bags but the other, at least, continues in the García Reneses structure. When the Catalans traveled to Vitoria he was able to enjoy minutes.

The 20-year-old Russian forward has lived his first experience in the ACB League, playing 11 games, in which he has averaged: 1.2 points in just 5 minutes of play per game. His best performance was against Lenovo Tenerife, on December 4, when in the Santiago Martín pavilion he scored 8 points in the Fuenlabreña defeat in the San Cristóbal de La Laguna pavilion.

Meanwhile, there is uncertainty about the presence or not of Markus Howard and Pi Henry on Thursday against Barcelona at the Buesa Arena. It is a Euroleague commitment that will take place at 8:30 p.m. Howard has a sore back and Henry has a minor injury to his soleus. His absences cause minutes from Darius Thompson and a lot of presence from Arturs Kurucs.
