Saudi monarch’s gift to Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: A ‘Winter Relief Project’ has been inaugurated in Pakistan under the Shah Salman Relief Fund.

According to details, the inauguration ceremony of the Winter Relief Project was held at the Saudi Embassy in Islamabad. Speaking on the occasion, Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry said that the welfare work through Shah Salman Relief Fund was commendable and the Winter Relief Project would provide shelter to the poor.

He said that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have a long standing relationship, relations with Saudi Arabia started with the independence of Pakistan, relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are getting stronger.

The Minister in his address also said that we have political and economic relations with Saudi Arabia, every Pakistani has devotion and respect for Saudi Arabia, even in the earthquake of 2005 Saudi Arabia provided full support to Pakistan, Saudi The Arabs have always supported Pakistan financially.

Fawad Chaudhry further said that the welfare work through Shah Salman Relief Fund is commendable, the winter relief project will provide shelter to the poor and people will get relief.

Meanwhile, the Saudi ambassador also said that Saudi Arabia and Pakistan have fraternal relations.
