Saudi King Salman issues important decrees

Riyadh: The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul Aziz, has issued several royal decrees on Friday. New ministers have been appointed in the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, Arab News quoted the state news agency as saying.

According to the royal decree, the Minister of Health, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan bin Muhammad Al-Rubayeh, has been appointed as the new Minister of Hajj and Umrah, while Fahd bin Abdul Rahman bin Dahs Al-Jalal will be the new Minister of Health.

Assistant Minister of Transport Abdul Aziz bin Abdul Rahman Al-Arifi has been removed from the post of Assistant Minister of Transport and has been made Senior Adviser to the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers.

Lieutenant General Mutlaq bin Salam bin Mutlaq Al-Azima has been promoted to the rank of General and has been appointed Commander of the Joint Forces. A new authority has been set up for the development of the Saudi cities of Yanbu, Amalj, Al-Wajah and Dhaba.
