A video shot at the Dakar Rally in Saudi Arabia has gone viral, showing a typical pickup truck overtaking other vehicles in the race.
This video shows a 2015 model Nissan Dotson pickup, in which a driver overtakes a Belgian racer participating in the Dakar Rally.
The video was a joke made by Mashaal al-Shalawi, a 24-year-old Saudi driver, who wanted to expose himself to the camera in order to get out of the scene Was driving
Following the virality of the video on Twitter, there has been widespread reaction on social media.
One user said that my friend and I were driving in our car at a speed of 110 to 120 kmph when we suddenly saw the car involved in the race after which we got excited.
“The videographer from the helicopter accompanying the rally gave us some signals to move forward, after which I started speeding along with the race vehicle,” he said.
The photographer’s gestures encouraged me to drive faster and leave the race car behind.
“I was driving on the other side of the track for the rally to avoid any accidents,” he said.
