Built by a consortium of two of the world’s leading renewable energy companies, Masdar and EDF Renewables, the project has a generating capacity of 400 MW. The wind farm consists of 99 wind turbines supplied by Vistas. Each of them has a capacity of 42 MW and was built in September 2019, the installation process of all of them is nearing completion.

Upon completion, the project, which will generate carbon-free electricity, will be able to meet the energy needs of 70,000 Saudi households.
