Riyadh: Trained women in Saudi Arabia will soon drive the Haramin train, Saudi officials said that the transport system is such that its scope extends to different sectors.

According to the Saudi website, the Saudi Minister for Transport and Logistics Services, Saleh Al-Jasser, has said that trained Saudi women will start driving the Haramin Express in the next few months.

Al Arabiya Net has published the details of the Saudi Minister of Transport’s speech at the Local Content Forum in Riyadh.

The Saudi minister said that women have joined all such fields in which they want to show the essence of their ability.

Saleh Al-Jasir said that the participation of women in every field is increasing on a large scale, soon you will see women working in positions that were still monopolized by men.

The Saudi minister said that the transport system is such that its scope extends to different sectors, in this context, talented women will be seen working extensively in the fields of industry, tourism, Hajj and Umrah.

He said that we are expanding the scope of local content in all our sectors, investment, Saudization of posts, goods, technology and services are promoting local content in every sector.

Saleh Al-Jasir said that in the coming days, the project to connect the eastern region of Saudi Arabia with the western region with a railway line will be started, a lot of progress has been made in this regard.

He also said that there will be 1,000 initiatives under the National Transport Strategy, 30 of them are major and will make Saudi Arabia an international logistics center in the world.
