Saudi Arabia warns airlines

Riyadh: Saudi authorities have barred airlines from using Saudi airports as transit routes for banned countries, with Gaka signaling stern action against violators.

According to foreign media, the Saudi Arabian Civil Aviation Department has issued instructions to the airlines operating from Saudi airports.

Gaka did not use Saudi airports as transit for countries on the sanctions list due to the corona virus.

The directive issued by GACA states that the ban on using Saudi airports as transit will also apply to private airlines.

The Civil Aviation Department has issued a warning that strict legal action will be taken against airlines violating the ban.

The banned countries include India, Pakistan, Indonesia, Egypt, Turkey, Brazil, Ethiopia, Vietnam, Afghanistan and Lebanon.
