Riyadh: Saudi Arabia has released the facility of release of prisoners through Farajat platform, Farajat is a fundraising scheme from which non-paying prisoners can benefit.
According to the Saudi website, Col. Bandar Al-Kharami, a spokesman for the Department of Prisons in Saudi Arabia, said that the facility being provided to the prisoners through the Farjat platform by paying the due amount was unconditional.
He said that every prisoner who fulfills these conditions will be paid all the dues.
The spokesman said that the prisoner who is fulfilling the conditions of Farjat platform will get a concession of release, there is no limit on the amount to be paid in this regard.
Colonel Bandar Al-Kharami said that it is necessary to check the required bill, only after checking it the amount will be paid. The reason is that there are a lot of bills on social media that are not listed on the Farjat platform.
It may be recalled that the Saudi Interior Ministry has set up a fundraising scheme in the name of Farjat for the release of prisoners and payment of dues. Prisoners who are unable to pay fines can benefit from this program.
The initiative aims to provide an easy and secure way to make donations to pay off debts owed to those convicted of criminal and financial offenses.
