Saudi Arabia: Muhammad bin Salman’s big order to curb inflation

Riyadh: Significant steps have been taken in Saudi Arabia to curb rising inflation, under which food prices are being re-examined.

According to details, on the direction of Crown Prince and Defense Minister Prince Muhammad bin Salman, the Ministry of Commerce has conducted investigative visits across the country during which the availability and prices of essential commodities have been reviewed.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, the Ministry of Commerce has made 7,400 investigative visits in the last 24 hours. The ministry said that in addition to monitoring the supply and quality of essential commodities in the market, prices have been reviewed.

These investigative visits have been made to all cities of the country, including Makkah and Madinah, with a special focus on 217 essential items to balance supply and demand.

A spokesman for the Ministry of Commerce said that the prices of these items in the local market have also been quoted from neighboring countries.
