Saudi Arabia: In which sector will Saudization not be done?

RIYADH: Saudi authorities say that Saudiization laws will not apply to Special Economic Zones, after Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman announced the establishment of economic zones in Saudi Arabia last month.

According to Urdu News, Saudi Minister of Manpower and Social Welfare Ahmed Al-Rajhi says that Saudiization rules will not apply to Special Economic Zones.

Al-Rajhi said that if a decision is made to appoint Saudis in the Special Economic Zones, in such a case, incentives will be given to the relevant institutions from the Manpower Promotion Fund and an opportunity to benefit from the basic economy will also be provided.

It should be noted that Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman announced the establishment of economic zones in Saudi Arabia last month, more than 47 billion Rials have been invested here.

Special Economic Zones have seen investments in advanced technology, logistics services, industry, mining and maritime sectors.

The total amount of investment completed here has reached more than 116 billion riyals, this was said in Riyadh on the occasion of the investment forum organized by Cities and Economic Zones.

Earlier, 4 permits have been issued in King Abdullah Economic City Ras Al Khair Economic Zone, Jazan Economic Zone and Special Economic Zone of Cloud and Informatics Computing, in addition to this, information regarding principle investment has also become clear.
