Riyadh: The Saudi government has made it mandatory for all shoppers to scan their smartphones through the national Corona virus application when entering shopping malls, shopping malls and complexes.
According to media sources, Warta trade spokesman Abdul Rehman Al-Hussein said that before entering the shopping malls and complexes, consumers would have to scan the barcode through the Tawakalna app to check the effectiveness of immunizations. People who have not been fully vaccinated will not be allowed inside.
He made the announcement during a press conference in the capital, Riyadh, on the development of the corona virus.
The spokesman added that commercial establishments would have to affix automatic health verification permit codes on entrances and staff would be responsible for ensuring that users scan the barcode before entering.
He said that all small shops in the retail sector, such as grocery stores, laundromats, barber shops and tailors are also required to verify consumer immunizations through the app.
Al-Hussein said only those who have been fully vaccinated will be allowed to enter shopping malls and other markets.
“The new automated health verification service in the app will help increase commitment and compliance rates with precautionary measures to prevent the spread of Corona virus in malls, shopping centers and complexes.”
