Saudi Arabia: Important news for new car buyers!

Riyadh: The Saudi traffic department has clarified that the purchase of new vehicles in the kingdom will not require an inspection for 3 years.

According to Arab media reports, the traffic department in Saudi Arabia says that the first three years of new private vehicles do not require a distance (annual inspection).

In its explanatory statement, the department also said that according to the traffic law, all vehicle owners are required to undergo annual inspection of the vehicle, but if the vehicle is new, they will be exempted from this condition for 3 years.

Under Saudi traffic laws, clearing an annual inspection requires a sticker on the vehicle, as well as an extension of vehicle registration, which would not be possible without an annual inspection.

Failure to inspect the vehicle annually is a punishable offense. Failure to inspect the vehicle is punishable by a minimum of one hundred and fifty and a maximum of 300 riyals.

Keep in mind that in Saudi Arabia, there is an annual fee for extending vehicle registration, and if traffic violations are on record, they will also have to be dealt with.
