Riyadh: The Saudi government is taking steps to prevent the spread of the corona virus and the people from the epidemic.

In this regard, the Ministry of Local Government and Resettlement Affairs said in a statement on Monday that a violation of the ban on the use of disposable equipment in the barber shop will result in a fine of 2,000 riyals.

According to Saudi media, the Ministry of Local Government Affairs has stated that this decision will be implemented on Saturday 12 Jamadi Al-Thani 1443 AH from 15 January 2022.

The Ministry of Local Government and Rural Affairs has said that using disposable devices more than once is a punishable offense and carries a fine of up to 2,000 riyals.

The Ministry of Local Government said that in addition to the fine, it would be necessary to rectify the violation, while for more than one violation, the fine would be doubled and the salon would be sealed for one week.

It may be recalled that the Ministry of Local Government, Rural and Settlement Affairs had earlier issued Corona SOPs for special shops for men’s haircuts.

The goal is to ensure the health and safety of salon workers and customers and to protect the community from contracting the new corona virus.
