RIYADH: Officials in Saudi Arabia say that domestic workers can arrive at 7 airports in the kingdom from where employers must pick them up.
According to Urdu News, Musand, an organization of domestic workers in Saudi Arabia, says that seven airports in Saudi Arabia have been allocated for document processing of domestic workers coming on exit re-entry visas.
According to Masand, it is the employer’s responsibility to process the domestic worker from one of the 7 airports and receive them upon arrival in the Kingdom.
Domestic workers from King Khalid International Airport Riyadh, King Fahd Airport Zahran, Ameer Naif International Airport, Ameer Muhammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport Madinah Manowrah, Hail International Airport, Al Ahsa International Airport and Abha International Airport will arrive on exit and return visa.
It is the sponsor’s responsibility to process them from the airport and take them home with them. Contact with the employee is also the responsibility of the sponsor.
It should be noted that the passport department has already made it clear that the first time a domestic worker arrives in Saudi Arabia from her home country, her action will be the responsibility of the recruiting agency. The action is the responsibility of the employer.
