RIYADH: A new airline named Neom Airlines will start flights next year.

According to Arab News, the CEO of Neum Airlines, Claus Goersch, says that an airline to the city of Neum in Saudi Arabia will be launched by the end of 2024.

Neom Airlines has been established under the name of the future city of Saudi Arabia, ‘Neum’, which will be unique in every way.

Guerish, CEO of Neom Airlines, previously served as operational executive chairman at British Airways and Canada Airlines. He says that this new airline will be the modern airline of the future.

“Imagine your belongings being picked up from your home or office and delivered to the hotel or accommodation you’re visiting, and imagine biometrics so advanced,” Guerish said in his blog post. As soon as you walk into a building, you are recognized through facial recognition, and security clears you to travel without any checks.’

It will be operational by the end of 2024 and will focus on travel to and from the city of Nyom for tourists, residents, and business partners, said the airline’s CEO Guerish.

It should be noted that Neom City is being built keeping in view the Vision 2030 of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the project was announced on October 24, 2017. The $500 billion Neom mega-project has been launched to transform the kingdom’s northwestern Red Sea coast into a high-tech hub. Its total area will be 26,500 square kilometers, and it includes 468 kilometers of Red Sea and Gulf of Aqaba coastline.
