RIYADH: The Saudi Traffic Department has issued a three-point procedure to remove the invalid vehicle from the record.
According to the Ughal website, the statement released by the traffic department explained how local citizens and foreigners can delete the useless or damaged vehicle from their records online.

Officials said that before the first registered centers are checked and the respective center is selected, users are strictly instructed to handover the vehicle and number plate to the approved center and present the code number received on their mobile.
It should be noted that the Saudi Traffic Department has given a deadline of March 1, 2023 to remove disabled vehicles from its records. Under this grace period, these vehicles can be expunged from their records without penalty.
It should be remembered that the one-year deadline for removing damaged and disabled vehicles from the records in Saudi Arabia has started from March 1, 2022.
According to Al-Watan newspaper, local councils have picked up 20,891 damaged and idle vehicles from the intersections and roads of eight regions of the country during the last ten months.
