Saudi Arabia broke the vaccination rules for the Super Cup

Saudi Arabia has skipped one of its vaccination regulations to allow the entry of soccer players who play the Spanish Super Cup in the country, as reported Reuters. The agency has explained that the country prohibits the arrival of people who are not fully vaccinated, but sources consulted by this agency explain that an exception has been made for the players of the Spanish teams.

always according to Reuters, this exception was taken after a negotiation of the Spanish Football Federation with the local authorities so that players and staff of the teams that play in the Super Cup could enter Saudi Arabia.

One of the players who can be in the country thanks to this exception is Lodi. This Thursday the Brazil coach, Tite, has announced that he has not summoned the AtlĆ©tico de Madrid player since he does not have the complete vaccination schedule against covid-19. AtlĆ©tico de Madrid has explained the information in a statement: “All our players and members of the expedition meet the health and sports requirements that have been requested to enter the country and play the competition, as in the rest of the competitions in which we participate”. According to the agency, a source close to Lodi has confirmed that the player has the first dose and is waiting for receive the second dose on January 31, since the footballer has passed the disease.

Both the Saudi authorities and the Football Federation have not commented or confirmed another case like that of Lodi.
