Riyadh: Car prices in Saudi Arabia have risen by 28% compared to the United Arab Emirates, with consumers complaining that distributors are manipulating prices.

According to Saudi media, consumers have complained that distributors and investors are increasing the prices of vehicles arbitrarily due to lack of price control by the concerned agencies due to lack of price monitoring.

According to the report of Saudi Central Bank Sama, the rate of vehicles was 107.3 points during December 2020, while in December 2019 it was 97.9 points. Compared to 2018, car prices were recorded to increase by 0.04 in 2019.

Keep in mind that from 2016 to 2018, the price of vehicles decreased while it increased again from last two years. Experts believe that the prices of cars have gone up after women were allowed to drive.
