Riyadh: According to Saudi law, foreigners coming to the kingdom for employment will not be able to work in any of the four professions.
Majid al-Qayyit, an expert in the Saudi Ministry of Manpower and Social Welfare, has said that from Sunday, May 8, 2022, no foreigner will be able to work in any of the professions of secretary, translator, stock keeper and data entry operator.
The ministry has warned that any foreigner found working in one of these professions will face severe action. He will be considered as one hundred percent violator of the law.
Talking to media, Majid-ul-Qait said that 100% Saudiization of all four professions has been announced.
Can a foreign worker work elsewhere temporarily? In Saudi Arabia, labor laws require foreign workers to work with their sponsors.
The sponsor is responsible for all the official matters of the worker which must be fulfilled. In case of any problem the worker can take legal action and approach the labor office for resolving the legitimate issues.
