Sarath Kumar Condemns Body Shaming of Actress Gauri Kishan as ‘Insult to Women’

Actor-politician Sarath Kumar has strongly condemned the recent body shaming incident involving Tamil actress Gouri Kishan. The incident took place during promotional events for her upcoming film, “Others.”

Kishan faced an inappropriate question from a journalist at a press meet. The journalist asked her co-actor, Aditya, about the difficulty of lifting her in a particular film scene.

Kishan immediately interrupted the question, asserting, “What does my weight have to do with you? This question is not related to my acting or the film.”

She later noted that most journalists present were male. Kishan was reportedly advised to remain silent after delivering her sharp response, sparking immediate controversy.

Speaking to the media, Sarath Kumar voiced his outrage over the incident. He called the question “reprehensible and dishonest.”

Kumar further stated, “Respect for women is essential in any civilized society, and what they did is completely wrong.” He described the act as a clear insult to women.

“Others” is a Tamil medical crime thriller. The film was released on November 7, 2025.

It stars Aditya Madhavan and Gouri G Kishan in the lead roles. Madhavan plays a police officer, while Kishan portrays a doctor. Abin Hariharan directed the film, which was produced under the Grand Pictures banner.
