The 2025 World Cup season has reached its halfway point in the women’s Giant Slalom specialty. The fourth test of the season took place in Kranjska Gora, where skiers faced very hard snow conditions.
Leader Fede Brignone Falls, Loses Red Bib
Fede Brignone, the leader in the red bib, started the competition with only a four-point lead. However, she failed to maintain her position after scoring zero points due to a fall in the race. The winner of the competition was Sara Hector from Sweden, followed by Lara Colturi from Albania in second place and Alice Robinson from New Zealand in third.
Impressive Descent by Sara Hector
The first round of the competition was marked by Sara Hector’s impressive descent, showcasing her mastery on hard snow. Her performance opened up significant distances with her rivals, with the closest competitor, Tea Louise Stejernesund from Norway, finishing 1.19 seconds behind Hector.

Current Standings
After the fourth Giant Slalom competition, Sara Hector now holds the red bib with 296 points, followed by Fede Brignone with 200 points and Alice Robinson also with 200 points. In the overall standings, Sara Hector leads with 407 points, followed by Camille Rust with 383 points and Zrinka Lujitic with 356 points.
Upcoming Competition
The next competition, the fifth slalom of the season, is scheduled to take place tomorrow at 10:00.
