Sanju Samson Reunites with Rajasthan Royals After Injury Rehab

Sanju Samson has finally joined his team, the Rajasthan Royals, after a lengthy rehabilitation period at the BCCI’s Center of Excellence in Bengaluru. The wicketkeeper-batsman had been out of action for six weeks due to a fractured finger he suffered during a match against England in February. Samson’s injury occurred when he was hit by a short ball from Jofra Archer, and he has been working tirelessly to regain his fitness. On Saturday, he successfully passed his fitness test, which was followed by a wicket-keeping test, paving the way for his return to the team.

As Samson arrived at the Rajasthan Royals’ camp on Monday, he was warmly welcomed by his teammates. The first person he met was head coach Rahul Dravid, who is currently using a wheelchair due to an injury that has left him unable to walk. Despite his own physical limitations, Dravid has been actively involved with the team, closely monitoring the players during practice sessions. A heartwarming video shared by the Rajasthan Royals on social media showed Samson embracing Dravid, who was seated in his wheelchair in the middle of the ground.

The team’s enthusiasm was palpable as they welcomed back their captain, with Samson’s presence likely to boost their morale. The Rajasthan Royals have a talented squad, featuring players like Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shimron Hetmyer, and Yuzvendra Chahal, among others. With Samson’s return, the team will be looking to make a strong impact in the upcoming matches. As the players took to the field for their first practice match, Samson’s presence was a welcome sight, and his teammates were clearly thrilled to have him back.
