A Rude Welcome Home
The shocking discovery was made when Bijlani finally returned to her farmhouse. She hadn’t been able to visit for four long months. The reason for her absence was a difficult one: her father’s illness needed her attention.
The farmhouse sits quietly in Tikona village, near the scenic Pavana Dam. When Bijlani arrived, she found a disturbing sight. The main door had been forced open, its frame broken. Even the metal grills on the windows were damaged.
Inside, the chaos continued. One television was completely missing. Another TV had been shattered. Beds were ruined, the refrigerator was smashed, and even the security cameras were gone or broken. The entire upstairs area looked like a war zone, completely ransacked. Many valuable possessions had been taken or destroyed.
Police Step In
Sangeeta Bijlani quickly reported the incident to the police. She filed a formal complaint, detailing the damage and the missing items. Authorities are now on the case.
Senior Inspector Dinesh Tayade from the Lonavala Police Station confirmed that a team has been dispatched. Their job is to thoroughly inspect the farmhouse and figure out the full extent of the loss and destruction. The police investigation is ongoing, working to piece together what happened and find those responsible.
