FIFA inhibited San Lorenzo to be able to incorporate players in the next three transfer markets, due to the fact that it still has a debt with Palestino de Chile for the transfer of Paulo Díaz, currently at River.
The entity that governs soccer worldwide, based in Zurich, sent San Lorenzo and the AFA the resolution by which the entity cannot incorporate players, both internationally and locally.
Is that San Lorenzo still must pay Palestino de Chile 2,500,000 dollars by the pass of defender Diaz, when he was transferred to Al-Ahli of Saudi Arabia. The term of the TAS to pay the debt to Palestino for 50% of Díaz expired on July 24, and from that moment the club is inhibited.
But at that figure of 2.5 million an interest of 5% per year must be added, that is added each month that passes without canceling the debt. Palestinian claimed in Switzerland for non-payment, but he did on the gross value of the operation, something that objected the Barcelona leadership, who argued that he had to pay the net amount.
The TAS gave the reason to those of Boedo in that sense, but he warned him that if he did not comply, inhibition would begin to rule. San Lorenzo is also complicated given that you still do not have the money to pay the debt that the trans-Andean set demands from him, unless he sells a player and they enter foreign currency.
For its part, the squad trained with the returns of the forwards Ezequiel Cerutti and Nicolás Fernández, recovered from injuries. In the first practice of the week after Monday’s defeat in Córdoba, Cerutti and Fernández joined the squad and they completed the first part of the work alongside their peers.
Fernández had a good start to the 2021 Professional League tournament with two goals in four games, but against Banfield, for the fourth date, he sprained his left ankle. Cerutti, meanwhile, still could not debut in the tournament since during the preseason his right knee was injured.
Both forwards will continue adding loads progressively and, if they respond, they could return to coach Paolo Montero’s call for the game on Sunday at 18 before Argentinos Juniors.
