The management of the Barriga Verde San Juan Basket Club franchise made the selection of the 15 players – 13 from San Juan and two from the capital, one of whom is the son of a father from San Juan – who will play in the U22 National Development League, the Southern League, along to 5 other southern provinces starting this Friday.

The president and delegate of the Barriga Verde San Juan, Antoni Fernández, together with members of the management and leadership, selected the 15 young people who will make up the team that will represent the province of San Juan in the National Development League U22, which will be played in Barahona and Azua as headquarters.

Those selected are: Oliver De Lana, Paul Paniagua, Martin Fernández, Ángel Sánchez, Alan De la Rosa, Robert Peña, Jimmy Méndez, Álvaro López, Johan Peña, Ángel Sención, Fernando Constanza, John Báez, Albert Mateo, Edwardo Mejía, resident in Santo Domingo, son of parents from San Juan, a native of Las Matas de Farfán and Cesar Rosario. The National Development League U22 requires in its regulations to register 10 natives of the province and choose 5 from the country. The Green Barriga of San Juan has chosen 13 from the province and 2 from the national level.

The U22 National Development League, the Southern League, will be played during the end of May and June of this year, with the participation of 6 franchises that are the Plataneros de Barahona, the Tira Piedra de Azua, the Uveros de Bahoruco, the Caciques of Independence, the Montañeses of Ocoa and the Barriga Verde of San Juan.
