The successor to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 will have updated fast charging support

Samsung’s upcoming foldable devices are already going through some certification sites that are starting to reveal some of the specs they’ll include. Now the passing of the models through the 3C certification reveals that the terminals will include a long-awaited feature by users for one of their foldables.

It seems that Samsung is finally going to bring support for fast charging at 25 watts to the Galaxy Z Flip4 and Galaxy Fold4, a feature that is already present in some smartphones of the brand, such as the Galaxy S22 and the Galaxy Z Fold3.

The novelty is that the next model of the Flip folding series will have a faster charge than its predecessor whose support is limited to 15 watts. In practice, the Galaxy Z Fold4 will maintain the same 25-watt fast charging support that the previous model already included.

Until recently, Samsung was hesitant to integrate faster fast-charging support into its handsets due to an incident with the Galaxy Note 7, whose battery exploded. But in March of this year, the South Korean giant began to signal that it might change its practice, equipping the Galaxy S22 Ultra with 45-watt fast charging.

Other specifications expected in the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4

Recently, the Ice Universe leaker advanced that both the Galaxy Z Fold4 and the Galaxy Z Flip4 will have the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus chip that has not yet been announced by Qualcomm.

The two devices are also likely to feature the new, faster UFS 4.0 storage standard just introduced by the South Korean giant.

In addition, it was also anticipated that Samsung will be able to equip the two folding batteries with Amperex Technology Limited, in order to reduce production costs and also the final cost of sale to the public. Therefore, the expectation is that the new foldables reach the market with a lower initial cost than their predecessors.
