All because the South Korean giant removed all mentions of Apple’s and Qualcomm’s rival processor from social media, in a clear suggestion that it was forced to postpone another crucial launch in its mobile space.
Exynos 2200 processor delayed indefinitely
It was Samsung itself that announced that on January 11, so today, it would present all the advances made for its Exynos 2200 processor with AMD graphics. But a few days before the announced date, the South Korean giant removed from social networks any mention of the new processor that will compete directly with Qualcomm and Apple chips.
The company is deafeningly silent on the matter, leading to the conclusion that it is once again forced to postpone a crucial launch for its mobile equipment area.
In his Twitter account, the leaker Ice Universe confirms the postponement of the Exynos 2200, advancing that the chip has been postponed even indefinitely. And, apparently, this processor was not, whose release schedule has changed.
RDNA2 graphics and heat dissipation issues cause Samsung’s flagship processor to lag
According to the well-known leaker, the presentation of the Exynos 1200 was scheduled for November last year, but it was finally canceled. This news becomes relevant because it is expected that the Galaxy A53 and Galaxy M33 terminals will come equipped with this processor.
But it seems that there are strong arguments for this new postponement. According to Ice Universe, some of the processes of the Exynos 2200 processor that are being carried out in Samsung laboratories are not obtaining the expected positive results.
In fact, previously the well-known leaker had already asked Samsung users to lower their expectations about this processor, when it comes to its performance. To justify the advice, Ice Universe explains that there are issues with heat dissipation and that the developers fail to hit the default frequencies for RDNA2 graphics.
There is already a date for the presentation of the Samsung S22 series
But it is not all bad news. New news from South Korea indicate that the new flagship series Galaxy S22 already has a presentation date. According to the information now revealed, the South Korean company is preparing an Unpacked event for February 8.
More: the same sources of information also anticipate that the pre-sale of the equipment will begin on February 9 and that the sale is scheduled for the 24 of the same month. However, Samsung has yet to officially confirm these dates and hopefully the wave of postponements did not charge another victim.
