Samsung is rolling out a new feature to its Wallet app that lets users send money to friends and family using NFC technology. This update, expected in May, allows Galaxy device owners to transfer funds directly into recipients’ bank accounts without needing external apps.
The feature works with Visa and Mastercard debit cards stored in Samsung Wallet. It uses NFC to send money to the recipient’s account. The recipient doesn’t need a Samsung Wallet account to receive the funds.
Here’s how it works:
- Users can send money to others with Samsung Wallet using their phone number.
- They can also transfer funds to accounts linked to physical cards, as long as the card supports tap-to-pay.
This update makes it easier for Samsung users to send money, either in-person or remotely. The feature is part of Samsung’s effort to enhance its Wallet app’s capabilities.
