Samsung unveils line of smart monitors for 2023

Samsung smart monitors just got a new boost with the release of new models. Samsung today announced globally the new line of smart monitors by 2023 with the models M8, M7 and M5.

“We are raising the bar globally in smart displays with this new lineup and especially with the innovations in our M8 model,” said Hoon Chung, Executive Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics.

As usual in this line of monitors, the objective is to associate the style with the needs of the users. They are monitors where users can work, but also play or watch content.

In this new line there are nine monitors. The M8, M7 and M5 are available in a variety of colors and sizes. In the case of the M8 and M7, they will be available in 32 inches. The M5 is available in 32 or 27 inches.

In the case of the M8, users can count on UHD resolution and a maximum brightness of 400 nits. The M7 has UHD resolution and 300 nit brightness, while the M5 has Full HD resolution and 250 nit maximum brightness.

M8 and M7 measure just 11.39mm at the thinnest part

The new ultra-slim design stands out on the M8 and M7, which measure 11.39mm at the thinnest part of the screens. They also stand out for the organic and textured print on the back and for the height-adjustable backrest with tilting support. It should be noted that the screen can rotate 90 degrees to be used in portrait mode.

In Smart Monitor M8 2023 we have several updates and improvements such as 4K resolution, HDR 10+ and a maximum brightness of 400 nits. It is also possible to access various game streaming platforms in an integrated way, as well as the Smart Hub to access video services such as Prime Video, Netflix or YouTube. The M8 and M7 support up to 99% of the sRGB color gamut.

M8 has SlimFit camera with auto framing

This new line of monitors allows remote access through a wireless connection and by mirroring the screen of a PC. The M8 features a detachable SlimFit magnetic camera so users can make video calls wirelessly. It has self-framing capabilities.

In particular, mouse and keyboard control functionality has been added to many apps, including SmartThings and Smart Hub on these models. Your devices can be controlled on the IoT Hub monitor, with support for Zigbee and Thread. In the case of the M8 and M7 they have Bixby and Amazon Alexa.

Pricing has yet to be revealed.
