Samsung has just unveiled its latest flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S25 Edge, beating Apple to the punch with a thinner design. The S25 Edge measures just 5.8mm thick and weighs 163g, making it remarkably slim and light. To keep things sturdy, the phone features a titanium frame and IP68 water resistance, letting you go 1.5 meters underwater for up to 30 minutes.
What to Expect
The S25 Edge boasts a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with QHD+ resolution and a 1-120Hz refresh rate. This lets it show content smoothly and efficiently. The screen is protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2.
Powering the device is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset, clocking in at 4.47GHz and paired with 12GB of RAM and storage options of 256GB or 512GB. It runs on Android 15 with One UI 7 on top.
The camera setup includes a 200MP primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture, optical image stabilization, and 2x optical zoom. There’s also a 12MP ultrawide lens with f/2.2 aperture that can capture macro shots. Selfies are handled by a 12MP camera with f/2.2 aperture.
Design and Battery Life
The phone’s slim profile comes with a trade-off – a slightly smaller 3,900mAh battery, compared to the 4,000mAh in the standard S25 model. Still, it supports 25W charging, hitting 55% in just 30 minutes, and wireless charging is also on board. The S25 Edge is available in three colors – Titanium Silver, Titanium Jetblack, and Titanium Icyblue.
Here are the prices:
- 12GB + 256GB: $1,099.99
- 12GB + 512GB: $1,219.99
