Samsung Unveils Galaxy F56 with Exynos 1480 Chip and Sleek 7.2mm Design

Samsung’s latest mid-range smartphone, the Galaxy F56, has hit the Indian market with a sleek design that’s just 7.2mm thick, making it the thinnest in the Galaxy F series, matching the recently launched Galaxy M56.

The phone features a 6.7-inch OLED display with 1080p+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring smooth visuals. The screen is protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass Victus+ and can reach a peak brightness of 1,200 nits in high-brightness mode.

Hardware and Software

The Galaxy F56 is powered by the Samsung Exynos 1480 chipset, built on a 4nm process, and features an 8-core CPU with a maximum clock speed of 2.75 GHz. It comes with 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and storage options of 128GB or 256GB, running on One UI 7 based on Android 15. Samsung promises 6 years of software updates for the device.

The phone is equipped with a vapor chamber cooling system similar to Samsung’s flagships and features Samsung Knox for enhanced security.

Camera Capabilities

The Galaxy F56 boasts a 50MP primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), capable of recording 4K video at 30fps with 10-bit HDR support. It also features Portrait 2.0 mode, allowing for 2x zoom on portraits, and various Galaxy AI features like Object Eraser and Edit Suggestion. The front camera has a 12MP sensor.

Other notable features include a 5,000mAh battery with 45W charging support, a plastic frame, and a metal camera module. The device is available in India, a major smartphone market, priced at 26,000 Indian Rupees for the 8GB/128GB variant and 29,000 Indian Rupees for the 8GB/256GB model.
