Samsung: two more devices receiving an update to One UI 4

Samsung is quite “generous” in providing updates and security patches for its portfolio of mobile devices.

And to demonstrate this “generosity”, the Galaxy Note 20 series and the Galaxy Tab S7 FE model are receiving the update to the One UI 4 interface, based on Android 12.

Samsung regularly releases updates and security patches for both its smartphone and tablet portfolios, and now it’s time for two other lucky winners to receive the long-awaited One UI 4 interface update, based on Android 12.

According to the SamMobile website, the Galaxy Note 20 series is receiving firmware version with the designation N98xFXXU3FVC5. And the process to get this update couldn’t be easier; the user simply navigates to the Settings menu and, once there, selects the Software Update option. Then just download it.

The update brings with it some new features as well as bug fixes and new security patches. From now on, users have access to the Smart Calendar feature that reads the dates of all messages and makes it easy to enter events in the calendar.

The RAM Plus function is also available, which provides four options, between 2 and 8 GB to add to the terminal.

The Galaxy Tab S7 FE tablet also receives the One UI update, based on Google’s latest operating system, Android 12. However, for now this availability is limited to the UK, but it will soon be extended to other regions.

The firmware version arrives with the designation of T736BXXU1BVC2 and, like the previous model, it is available in the Settings menu, in the Software update option.

As for what’s new, from now on users will have new animations, updated widgets, quick settings and an improvement in system applications.

The South Korean giant also warns that this update is relevant and recommends its installation since it corrects more than 50 vulnerabilities directly related to security and privacy.
