Exynos 2200 will be the beginning of a new era of gaming on the smartphone

The partnership signed in 2019 between Samsung and AMD is about to bear its first fruits. In fact, the Exynos 2200 will be the first processor designed by both companies and promises to breathe new life into the gaming segment on the smartphone.

By the way, the publication of the announcement of presentation of this processor leaves no doubt about it. “The games market is about to get serious,” says the Samsung post.

As announced by the South Korean, this processor will feature AMD’s RDNA 2 technology in its graphics component. Contextualizing the announcement, this is the same technology that we found in the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and AMD graphics cards of the RX 6000 line.

According to rumors, the Exynos 2200 will bring to the market mobile The technology ray tracing. This means better representation of shadows and reflections, giving a greater sense of realism to your games.

With these promises in mind, the processor for the Galaxy S22 line is one of the most anticipated in recent years. The expectation is such that the probability of disappointment is equal.

As the numbers revealed this week, the Exynos 2200 will not achieve what fans were hoping for. There is talk of a performance increase of only 5% and a graphical evolution of 17% compared to its predecessor.

It is worth noting that the Exynos 2100 had a 30% performance increase and 40% better graphics than its predecessor. Faced with these numbers, the new Exynos 2200 comes across as a great disappointment.

All the details will be confirmed on January 11 with the official presentation of the Exynos 2200. That same day the official reveal of the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE is also expected, therefore, only good reasons to be attentive to the news from the South Korean.
