Samsung is calling out Apple’s new Liquid Glass design for iOS 26, saying it’s not a new idea. They claim they’ve been using a similar “glass” design in their own One UI 7.
The Korean tech giant says their design may work differently, but the end result looks similar. They’re also touting their new AI features, like live translations, which they say they’ve had since last year’s Galaxy S24 lineup.
These features are now rolling out to more devices. Samsung’s even calling out Apple’s Workout Buddy feature on the Apple Watch, saying they’ve had AI-powered features on their Galaxy Watch line for a while now.
They’re making it clear they think they were first to bring AI to smartwatches.
What’s going on with these designs?
It looks like Samsung and Apple are both trying to make their user interfaces look sleek and modern. But Samsung’s saying they got there first.
