Samsung and Apple are two of the biggest manufacturers and competitors in the field of smartphones and other consumer electronics, and they sometimes have spikes.
While it’s common to see Samsung and Apple poke fun at each other, the latest provocation may have gone too far. Indeed, as revealed on Twitter by user Yahia Sayed, it appears that Samsung has included a derogatory reference to late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs in a description of his official iTest web app.
This application allows iPhone users to discover the Galaxy experience. Indeed, once installed, it allows them to test One UI, the manufacturer’s Android overlay, directly on their iPhone. You can then navigate in the menus, as if you were using a Samsung phone.

Samsung goes too far in mocking Steve Jobs
On it, we could read ” Samsung users are all unique and they love their phones to be too. No turtleneck wearer should dictate how your phone looks “. This is obviously a reference to Steve Jobs, the founder of Apple, who was a turtleneck lover made by famous designer Issey Miyake.
While Samsung doesn’t directly mention the name of Apple’s co-founder, it is a pretty obvious reference. This pique towards one of the brightest minds and the one who revolutionized the smartphone market was not appreciated by all.
Fans of the American giant and other users quickly stepped up to the plate on social networks, denouncing the joke that went too far. Indeed, many people did not understand why Samsung was provoking a dead person rather than attacking current Apple CEO Tim Cook.
Making fun of a dead person may not be the best way to promote its application, especially since the dead person is no longer present to defend himself. Unlike Tim Cook, rather than avoiding taking risks and looking for huge profits, Steve Jobs made the firm more innovative.
#Samsung has gone too far. This kind of marketing is the worst I’ve ever seen in a company on Earth. Really sammy? Mocking a dead man? This makes me regret every second of using my samsung phone by now. Thread. 👇 pic.twitter.com/dQNCcUzGAV
