New Samsung W22 5G with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage
The new foldable W22 5G is the successor to the W21 5G model launched last year and is currently only marketed on the Chinese market as a custom version of the Galaxy Z Fold 3.
The South Korean giant was generous in specs for its new model, equipping the W22 5G with an octa-core SoC processor, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of internal storage.
The folding AMOLED screen is 7.6 inches and has a resolution of 2208×1768 pixels, while the external screen is 6.2 inches and has a resolution of 832×2268 pixels. In the connectivity options, it has 5G and 4G communications, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.2, NFC and USB Type-C port.
In the specific case of folding terminals, the dimensions are relevant. Thus, when folded, the W22 5G measures 158.2×67.1×16 millimeters, registering 158.2×128.1×6.4 millimeters in the open position.
Samsung’s new foldable has 4K video recording capability
In the area of photography, the new fold has a triple rear camera with three sensors of 12 megapixels each, support for optical image stabilization and also 4K video recording at 60 frames per second. All powered by a 4400 mAh battery.
As we said, it includes the Samsung S Pen and comes in Phantom Black with a gold textured hinge that stands out. It is now available for pre-order in the Chinese market and the brand is expected to deliver the first team on October 22.
Along with the best specs you’ve just read, there’s an equally high price tag, with the W22 5G launching for 19,999 Chinese yuan, or roughly 2,680 euros.
