The Apple Studio Display now has a direct competitor in Samsung’s new professional monitor. It is the first monitor of the brand that makes the leap to 5K resolution and that, in addition, delivers features present in the Cupertino monitor.
The new product of the South Korean giant, baptized as Samsung ViewFinity S9, comes as a new bet of the brand. It is clearly aimed at professional use, for those who are looking for a reference monitor, with high resolution and focused mainly on work.

This product incorporates several improvements over the previous model, ViewFinity S8, such as a larger screen, more color accuracy, and better rendering of different tones. The build quality is even better, as are its functions.
Thus, Samsung adopts, for the first time, in one of its monitors, the largest resolution to date with 5K, more specifically, 5120 pixels by 2880 pixels long and wide. Do it on a screen like 27-inch IPS LCD.
In addition, this new Samsung product has an anti-reflective treatment and coating for the screen, with a mate. There’s also a guarantee of 99% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space, as well as compatibility with the HDR600 standard.

Still with the aim of facilitating color calibration on its Samsung ViewFinity S9, the company has provided the monitor with compatibility and connection with the smartphone. In fact, it is through the Samsung Smart Calibration application that the precise color adjustment is carried out.
In addition, through the application it is possible to change various aspects of the image presentation, such as color temperature and white balance. This, as well as the value of spectrumamong other parameters with direct influence on the presentation of RGB color.
