Samsung Launches AI-Powered Pop-Up Restaurant with Galaxy S25 in Portugal

Samsung is turning Portugal into a culinary playground. The tech giant is launching a pop-up restaurant called Sem Igual, or “unmatched” in Portuguese, where customers can use the Samsung Galaxy S25 to snap photos of ingredients. The phone’s Galaxy AI then whips up a one-of-a-kind recipe, and a chef prepares the dish.

Here’s how it works: customers sit down, grab a Galaxy S25, and take pictures of the ingredients they want. The AI processes these images and creates a unique recipe based on the ingredients – one carbohydrate, one protein, three veggies, and a sauce. The recipe is then sent to the kitchen, where chef João Dourado crafts a personalized dish.

The restaurant boasts 25 ingredients, which the Galaxy AI combines into over 1,000 possible menu items. This means every customer gets a truly bespoke meal. The pop-up will have two locations in Portugal:

  • Belém, Lisbon (May 8-9, 2025)
  • Social Club, Porto (May 16-17, 2025)

Each location will be open for just two days.

What’s the Big Deal?

Samsung’s experiment isn’t just about food – it’s a clever marketing move. The company is showcasing its Galaxy AI capabilities while giving customers an immersive experience.
By using the Galaxy S25 to create personalized recipes, Samsung is demonstrating the phone’s AI muscle. The tech giant is also highlighting its commitment to innovation and customer experience.
