Samsung’s latest smartphones aren’t exactly the best when it comes to charging speeds. For example, the OnePlus 9 series offers a charging power of 65 watts, in addition, the Xiaomi 11T Pro supports up to 120W of fast charging. Now it looks like the upcoming Galaxy S22 lineup will be able to charge faster than its predecessor.
The German WinFuture has spotted some new chargers, which are expected to be available in the next few weeks. For example, the EP-T4510 offers 45 watt charging capacity through a single USB Type-C port. According to rumors the S22 will deliver this charging power, a 20 watt increase over the S22 (25 W). It is expected in early December and would cost around three dollars.
Next up is the EP-T6530, which has a charging power of up to 65 watts. The top type-c port supports this maximum speed, the second type-c connector has to settle for 25W. Finally, there is a type-a port, which supports 15W charging. When used simultaneously, all three ports provide 35, 25 and 5 watts of power, respectively. The Trio charger is scheduled for the middle of next month, with a suggested retail price of 60 euros.
Since different combinations are possible in terms of load, WinFuture has included them in a handy overview:
- USB-C1 + USB-C2 = 40 W + 25 W
- USB-C1 + USB-A = 50 W + 15 W
- USB-C2 + USB-A = 25 W + 15 W
- USB-C1 + USB-C2 + USB-A = 35 W + 25 W + 5 W
