The first renders of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 have emerged showing what the design of the new foldable could look like.
Other rumors suggest that the new terminal will also be lighter and thinner than its predecessor Galaxy Z Fold3.
First renders of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 revealed
The first renders of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 have appeared online showing the design that the new foldable will adopt. The images were shared by the OnLeaks/Smartprix association and reveal that the camera setup is now integrated directly into the rear panel, in the style of the Galaxy S22 Ultra.
This new configuration also seems to suggest the introduction of new sensors. Incidentally, previous rumors have advanced that the Galaxy Z Fold4 could inherit the 108-megapixel sensor currently present in the Galaxy S22 Ultra.
On the other hand, the new foldable is also expected to have a squarer shape than its predecessor. Another novelty is that the Galaxy Z fold4 will also be thinner and lighter than the previous model. Remember that the Galaxy Z Fold3 weighs 271 grams and, apparently, the successor will reduce this weight by a few grams.
Finally, some rumors even suggest that Samsung will go from a dual-hinge design to a single-hinge mechanism. At the origin of the change is the desire to make the new folding more compact and robust.
What we already know about the Galaxy Z Fold4
Previously, other rumors have already advanced some specifications that we can expect to see in the Galaxy Z Fold4. Leaker Ice Universe, for example, recently announced that the new foldable will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus processor.
This is good news, as the upgraded version of Qualcomm’s premium chip is expected to be 10% faster than its predecessor, as well as being more power efficient and having fewer overheating issues.
It is also said that the Galaxy Z Fold4 integrates a battery of 4,270mAhdivided into two packages, one of 2002 mAh and another of 2,268 mAh, in addition to support for S Pen.
In addition, as already mentioned, the Galaxy Z Fold4 should include the sensor in its rear camera configuration to 108 megapixels of the Galaxy S22 Ultra, as well as the telephoto sensor with a resolution of 10 megapixels and 3x optical zoom.
