Two weeks before Samsung’s Unpacked event, the prices of the new generations of folding smartphones were announced.
Prepare your wallets, in Europe the prices start at 1,199 euros and go up to 2,279 euros.
Price and configurations of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5
On July 26, Samsung will officially introduce the new generations of foldable smartphones. And now the configurations and prices of each of the models have been revealed.
Unsurprisingly, these are premium prices. According to the French website Dealabs, the Flip 5 foldable case will be available with 256 GB and 512 GB of internal storage capacity.
The first variant is the most affordable of all the new Samsung folding models and costs 1,199 euros. The second variant comes with a price of 1,339 euros.
As for the Galaxy Z Fold 5, it will be available with three internal storage capacities: 256 GB, 512 GB and even 1 TB. In this case, the costs increase significantly.
With 256 GB, the Fold 5 will cost 1,899 euros, with 512 GB the price rises to 2,039 euros. Finally, the variant with 1 TB capacity is the most expensive with a price of 2,279 euros.
What can we expect to see in the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5?
Rumor has it that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will arrive equipped with a 7.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED display with a resolution of 2176×1812 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. The secondary 6.2-inch display, in turn, will have a resolution of 2316×904 pixels and also a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
Inside the model will be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, in its customized version for Samsung, working in conjunction with 12 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of internal storage capacity.
The model will also feature a rear camera setup led by a 50-megapixel sensor. As for connectivity, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will be able to provide NFC, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, USB-C, nanoSIM and will also support eSIM.
Specs expected in the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5
The small folding case Galaxy Z Flip 5 can attract attention from its “brother” Fold 5 by presenting more visible innovations. Apparently, the model may now be equipped with a larger 3.4-inch external screen that will offer HD resolution. The main screen will be 6.7 inches with a Full HD + resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
It will also arrive equipped with the custom and overclocked version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip accompanied by 8 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of internal storage.
Still inside, it will house a 3,700 mAh battery and connectivity will feature USB Type-C, Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 6E.
