New findings now show that Samsung’s next-generation Galaxy Watch5 could include a surprise: a new feature to monitor skin temperature during sleep.
But there’s more. The same new clues reinforce the idea that the South Korean giant’s next smartwatch series won’t even feature the Classic variant.
Samsung Galaxy Watch5: the classic variant falls to emerge the Pro version

It will be in August that Samsung will launch its new generation of smartwatch Galaxy Watch5 along with the equally new series of folding smartphones, Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4.
As the date approaches, both expectations and rumors increase in volume. Now, website 9to5Google is revealing more details about the South Korean giant’s next generation of smartwatches, adding that it may have a surprise in store for users.
The site got access to the latest beta version of the Samsung Health app and discovered new details there, namely that the upcoming series will not include a classic variant. On the other hand, the tech giant will launch the Galaxy Watch5 Pro version which will have a more sporty design and look like more advanced specifications.
Samsung integrates the new function of body temperature of the Galaxy Watch5
But the same beta version of the Samsung Health app gives more clues about the new generation of smart watches. SamMobile, citing a user of the Reddit social network, advances that the new Watch 5 may include an unexpected feature: monitor skin temperature during sleep.
Samsung will apparently work to integrate all the software needed for body temperature readings into the One UI interface. But it is not guaranteed that the brand will make this feature available anytime soon at the launch of the Galaxy Watch5.
The same sources advance that the brand will be able to integrate the functionality but in deactivated mode, and later it can be activated through a firmware update.
But in the worst case, Samsung can only include the base of this functionality in the Galaxy Watch5 and make the new feature available in smartwatch models that will launch in 2023.
