The next big thing in tablets is coming. Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is set to impress with its premium features.
This new device is the successor to the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra, which was announced in September 2024 and hit stores in October 2024.
Recently, there have been reports about the tablet’s upgraded specs.
One key upgrade is the battery. The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra’s battery, with model number EB-BX936ABY, has a capacity of 11,374 mAh.
That’s 500 mAh more than the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra’s 10,880 mAh battery.
For comparison, the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra was promoted as having a battery capacity of around 11,200 mAh.
So, it’s possible that the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra will be promoted as having a battery capacity of around 11,700-11,900 mAh.
It may be promoted as having a capacity of around 8,400 mAh, similar to its predecessor.
This is the first time Samsung has upgraded the battery capacity of its premium tablet series since the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra in 2020.
The company has been promoting a battery capacity of around 11,200 mAh since then.
But with the latest tablets getting more powerful hardware, they need more power, so an upgrade was necessary.
In addition to the bigger battery, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is expected to use the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chip.
This chip is made with 3-nanometer technology and has a maximum processing speed of 3.63 GHz.
That’s an upgrade from the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra’s Mediatek Dimensity 9300+ chip, which has a maximum speed of 3.4 GHz.
The Galaxy Tab S11 and Tab S11 Ultra are expected to be announced in September 2025.
