Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra promises to make a significant leap in fast charging

Samsung is one of the most conservative companies when it comes to the battery charging speeds of its smartphones. However, with the release of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, we may see a page turn for South Korean products.

A new rumor raised by @RGCloudS on Twitter claims that Samsung is developing a new type of battery for its smartphones. One of the benefits could be the implementation of fast charging speeds at 65W in the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

1/3 Stacked battery is on track but limited Most likely only for 24U and 24+ or just 24U Meanwhile Apple used it across the entire iP15 lineup 24U and 24+ have a “rating” of 5000 MaH But 24U stacked structure is different to make it cooler, they applied cooling gel. for 65W and stability

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will be able to charge at 65 W

This advance will be possible thanks to a new battery technology that Samsung will apply to its smartphones. The problem is stacked batteries, which are quite popular in electric cars.

The advantages of this approach are several, namely higher density, better performance, and faster upload speeds. This last point is the one that matters most for the future of Samsung’s top of the range.

In fact, it is now reported that Samsung should endow the Galaxy S24 Ultra with 65W fast charging technology. A significant jump compared to the 45W available in the current generation of this high-end brand.

It is also mentioned that this new type of battery could also be used in the Samsung Galaxy S24+. Everything will depend on Samsung’s supply chain, since the company will face some limitations to acquire the necessary technology for the development of these batteries.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra

Both the Samsung Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra are expected to use stacked batteries and have a 5000 mAh cell. However, only the latter should feature 65W fast charging due to its larger body that can accommodate a more robust cooling system.

This means the base Samsung Galaxy S24 should maintain 25W charging speeds. The future Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 foldables are strong candidates to receive the same battery type as the upcoming Ultra model.

The stacked batteries should be produced, still in the testing phase, only at Samsung’s factory in Cheonan, Seoul. The crafting team hasn’t arrived yet, so we’ll see if this rumor comes true.
