There are a lot of rumors about the Galaxy S23 Ultra. Which is natural since this will be the most advanced smartphone from Samsung. Now new details have been revealed and, this time, the information focuses on the model’s screen.

According to the RGcloudS account of the social network Twitter, the top of the range of the South Korean giant will have an AMOLED panel with a minimum brightness of 2,100 nits and a maximum brightness of 2,200 nits, in addition to a touch sampling frequency of 960. Hz.

Another important fact is that this AMOLED screen will be more energy efficient, more specifically it consumes 45% less energy than the previous model.

Taking these values into account, it seems that Samsung intends to surpass the iPhone 14 screens, since they have a maximum brightness of 2,000 nits. But expert Dylan Raga of the XDA Developers website has a different analysis.

According to Dylan Raga, although the two brands use OLED emitters in their panels, they use different brightness tests. While Samsung rates maximum peak brightness at 1% APL (Average Picture Level), Apple rates it at 25% APL.

If we submit the iPhone 14 Pro to the 1% APL test used by the South Korean company, it reaches a maximum brightness of 2,300 nits. In other words, Samsung won’t yet beat Apple on this display attribute.

The 200-megapixel sensor is almost certainly in the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra

However, more and more sources suggest that the Galaxy S23 Ultra will even have a 200-megapixel main sensor. Rumors are unanimous in stating that Samsung will make significant changes to the rear camera module of the terminal.

And the big news is really going to be this super resolution. The rest of the elements of this module will be a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor and even a 10-megapixel resolution telephoto lens and 10x optical zoom.

Other sources also point out that the front camera will also undergo changes and they are not for the better. The 40-megapixel sensor integrated from the Galaxy S21 series can be replaced by another with 10 or 12-megapixel resolution.

But on this particular point, rumors have different information. For this reason, we must evaluate these data with caution.
