A new report shared by the publication The Elec says that Samsung will have already started the production phase of the Galaxy S22 line. This means that the details of the next South Korean range caps will already be defined internally.
Additionally, the tech company has already started outlining its plans for next year. These plans will give greater primacy to the Galaxy S22, the entry-level model for the brand’s next high-end family.
Samsung believes the Galaxy S22 will be the most sought after model
Apparently, the initial production plans for the Galaxy S22 line will give the entry-level model more primacy. In fact, it will be for this device that Samsung will channel most of its resources, in order to have more units available at launch.
The Galaxy S22 will represent between 50% to 60% production packed with Samsung’s new high-end. The Galaxy S22 + will have a production quota of twenty% and the rest 20% to 30% will be piped to the Galaxy S22 Ultra.
Taking into account this distribution of resources, it is observed that Samsung anticipates a higher demand for the smaller model. The intermediate model (Galaxy S22 +), on the other hand, meets the company’s lower expectations, even suffering a reduction in production volume compared to the model that preceded it.
The rest of the production will go to the Galaxy S22 Ultra, the spiritual successor to the Galaxy Note line. The more expensive model will again come with support for the S Pen and with the advantage of its own storage location.
Samsung strives to keep prices low
Another important detail pointed out by the source refers to the price of the Samsung Galaxy S22. It is anticipated that the South Korean wants to follow last year’s strategy and launch new smartphones at the lowest possible price.
This decision is the consequence of a similar strategy adopted by its rival Apple. The American giant also opted to absorb part of the production costs of its new equipment so as not to increase the sale price to the public.
In short, the hope is lit that Samsung can maintain the retail prices of the Galaxy S21 line. If so, we will be able to see values ​​that will start at € 879, in Portugal.
